Sure about You by Jaycee Weaver

Ah, is there anything a writer loves more than a story about writers and editors? Well, yes, a well-crafted story about those people. The author paints her characters so well, the story develops like a mind-movie, certainly Hallmark worthy. Rom-com lovers will adore it, especially since it also mentions some well-known rom-coms. An easy, delightful read, perfect for the beach or wherever you go.

The Wanderer’s Legacy by Natasha Woodcraft

A riveting read, this book will wrench your heart and raise your ire. It's an in-depth look at how the world might have been in the early centuries following Cain's banishment. Weaving a tale around Lamech and his two wives, Woodcraft shows how sin became so rampant by the time of Noah that God had to intervene. Unfortunately, we see much the same nowadays.

Ranch Heartbeats by Brooks Wright

I enjoyed this story of opposites attracting and learning to navigate everyday differences to get along. The premise of two people looking for change in their lives and finding more than they ever expected was a different tack, but more realistic than some other plots I've read. The story was well written, but I was disappointed not to have a more definite Happily-Ever-After ending. Instead, there was just a lead-in to the next book.

Tangled Promises by Lynn Watson

If you have a German heritage, this is the historical book for you. Watson uses so many authentic German titles and phrases, she wisely included a glossary for the reader. One trope for this story is mismatched lovers, a Cinderella reversal, with the Baron's daughter pining over their carriage driver. The antagonist nearly steals the show with his high-handed arrogance and interference, one of those characters you love to hate.
